*** NOT LONG UNTIL WE CAN LET YOU KNOW OUR SECRET ***

But as a teaser, it’s something to do with this map showing time zones in Antarctica.

Antarctica sits on every line of longitude so theoretically Antarctica would be located in all time zones. However for practical reasons time zones are usually based on territorial claims – this means Ross Sea is in New Zealand time zone while East Antarctica and Sub-Antarctic Macquarie Island is in Australian Eastern Standard Time. This is perfect for all our Australian and New Zealand Antarctic travellers.

New Security Screening on International Flights ex New Zealand

You will no longer have to remove liquids and laptops from your carry-on bags for airport security screening on international flights from Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

New Computed Tomography (CT) scanning machines will create high-quality 3D images that allow aviation security officers to more quickly assess baggage, while still maintaining strong security measures.

NOTE: Passengers travelling with camera film now need to pack their film in checked luggage to avoid damage from the CT scanner.
