With a deep passion for seabirds and conservation, Ela brings a wealth of knowledge and firsthand experience to our tours, offering an incredible opportunity for guests to learn from a dedicated expert.
Ela’s love for wildlife began in her hometown of Wellington, New Zealand, where she grew up in an adventurous, outdoorsy family. Her fascination with seabirds took flight in 2022 during a university field trip to the Chatham Islands, where she had the unforgettable experience of holding a Chatham Petrel. That moment ignited a lifelong passion for these incredible birds and the unique ecosystems they inhabit.

We explored remote wildlife hotspots, from the rugged coastlines of Pitt Island to the open waters surrounding South East Island, the Pyramid, and Mangere Islands. A true highlight was our full-day pelagic tour, where we witnessed an astonishing variety of seabirds, including albatrosses, petrels, and shearwaters, soaring effortlessly over the waves.
