That’s why I’m delighted to officially welcome Ruth as one of our tour leaders.
Many of you will meet Ruth over the coming years as she leads a number of exciting adventures, bringing her calm, capable and welcoming style to destinations that inspire exploration, connection and discovery.
Ruth is one of those people who is always curious about what’s around the next corner. Whether it’s discovering a hidden walking trail, cycling along a spectacular coastline, paddling through pristine waters or exploring a new country, she embraces every experience with enthusiasm and a wonderful sense of adventure.
With extensive experience in tramping, cycling, kayaking and leading groups, Ruth creates an environment where guests feel supported, encouraged and free to enjoy their own adventure at their own pace. She also has a keen eye for photography and loves capturing those spontaneous moments that make travel so memorable.
Originally trained as a pharmacist, Ruth holds both a Bachelor of Pharmacy and an MBA. Alongside her passion for travel, she continues to work with selected clients in leadership development, facilitation and team coaching. She has also volunteered with Experiencing Marine Reserves Auckland and holds an Outdoor First Aid Certificate.

🐋 2027 Women’s Western Australia Swimming with Whales & Kayaking Adventure
One of our most anticipated new adventures, this incredible journey combines unforgettable wildlife encounters with kayaking, spectacular coastal scenery and the opportunity to swim alongside magnificent whales in the pristine waters of Western Australia.

Experience one of the world’s last great wildernesses, where vast landscapes, nomadic culture and incredible photographic opportunities await. Whether you’re passionate about photography or simply love exploring extraordinary places, Mongolia promises an unforgettable experience.
❄️ Coming Soon – Two Brand-New Arctic Circle Expeditions for 2028
We’re also excited to reveal that Ruth will be leading two brand-new Arctic Circle adventures, currently in development. One expedition has been specially designed for photographers wanting to capture the breathtaking beauty of the High Arctic, while the second will focus on active adventure, wildlife and immersive experiences in one of the world’s most spectacular regions.
Further details on both Arctic Circle journeys will be released in the coming months.
