Unleash Your Creativity at the 2025 Yorke Peninsula Artists Retreat!

Join us in October 2025 for an unforgettable 7-night artists’ retreat in the stunning South Australian Yorke Peninsula. Surrounded by dramatic coastlines, rugged landscapes, and vibrant wildflowers, this retreat is designed to awaken your creative spirit and provide the perfect setting for artistic growth and inspiration.

Under the expert guidance of some of Yorke Peninsula’s most talented local artists, you’ll immerse yourself in four unique workshops that cater to all skill levels — whether you’re a beginner hobbyist or a seasoned artist looking to refine your technique. You’ll return home not only with beautiful creations but also with newfound skills and a refreshed artistic perspective.

What Awaits You

Creative Workshops in a Coastal Paradise – we’ve curated four exciting, hands-on workshops that take inspiration from the breathtaking natural beauty of the Yorke Peninsula. Each one promises a deep dive into different mediums and techniques, offering something special for every artist.

Workshop 1: Seascapes in Pastels

Feel the energy of the ocean as you learn how to capture the movement and power of waves. Under the skilled guidance of a Jason, you’ll work with pastels to create a stunning seascape masterpiece, honing your ability to depict texture and motion in art.

Workshop 2: Resin Art on Wood – Bring Your Waves to Life

Lianne will work with you to take your seascape to the next level! Using your pastel seascape as inspiration, you’ll dive into the world of resin art, crafting a unique resin-on-wood piece that reflects the beauty and movement of the ocean. This hands-on experience results in a one-of-a-kind keepsake that you’ll treasure for years to come.

Workshop 3: Pen & Ink Landscapes with Handcrafted Brushes

Join Rachelle for an immersive workshop where you’ll explore the stunning textures of the Yorke Peninsula landscape using pen and ink. From the rugged beauty of wind-swept trees to the intricate details of native wildflowers, Rachelle will guide you in capturing the essence of the natural world. You’ll also gather materials from the environment to craft your own custom brushes, allowing you to finish your ink sketches with a touch of watercolor—adding a unique, personal element to your artwork.

Workshop 4: Slow-Stitch Embroidery – A Textured Masterpiece

Kylie will work with you to bring your pen and ink creation to life with fabric and thread! In this meditative slow-stitch / appliqué workshop, you’ll transform your landscape sketch into a beautiful embroidery piece, replicating your design in a tactile, layered form. You’ll also receive a frame to finish your work, turning it into a gallery-worthy piece of textile art.
