Itinerary Overview
Friday 6 August: Auckland – Matakana – Whangārei – Paihia
9.00am departure from outside Auckland Park Rose Hotel, 92 Gladstone Road, Parnell, for our North Shore passengers, pick-up at Akoranga Busway Station around 9.30am/9.45am. From here we travel north from Auckland, stopping in Matakana and visiting the creative haven of Sculptureum. Continue to Whangārei Town Basin before arriving in Paihia.
This evening, the festival begins — your pass gives you access to multiple venues and performances.

Saturday 7 August: Kerikeri & Festival Experience (Optional Touring)
Optional morning excursion to Kerikeri, visiting the historic Stone Store & Kemp House (entry own cost), plus a stop at Makana Confections.
Return to Paihia for an afternoon and evening immersed in festival performances.

Sunday 8 August: Festival at Leisure
A full day to enjoy the festival your way. Explore venues, relax by the waterfront, or take the ferry to Russell for a change of scene.

Monday 9 August: Hokianga – Dargaville – Mangawhai
Journey to Northland’s rugged west coast. Visit Opononi, travel through Waipoua Forest to see Tāne Mahuta, and continue to Dargaville for lunch and a museum visit.
End the day in Mangawhai.

Tuesday 10 August:Mangawhai – Auckland
Travel south via Warkworth and Orewa Beach, with time for a oastal stop before heading to our farewell lunch at New Zealand’s oldest riverside tavern on the Wade River at Riverhead. Returning to Auckland with drop off points at Akoranga Busway Station and Park Rose Hotel, 92 Gladstone Road, Parnell between 5.00pm and 5.45pm.
