Terrain & Riding Conditions
This is a true off-the-beaten-track cycling experience. You will be riding on a mix of basalt gravel roads, which are firm but can be loose in sections, as well as across private farmland where the terrain varies.
Expect everything from recently grazed paddocks with short grass to longer, uneven pasture that hasn’t been grazed for some time. You’ll also cycle along farm-formed dirt tracks, which can include ruts, undulations and natural contours typical of working farms.
A reasonable level of confidence and comfort riding on mixed terrain is recommended — this is real island riding, not sealed cycle paths.
