At Travel With Lesley Whyte Ltd, the health, safety, and wellbeing of our guests, staff, and partners is our top priority. This statement provides a summary of our detailed Health & Safety Policy, which outlines the procedures and standards we follow to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment on all our tours and events.

Our Commitment

  • As a minimum, one member of our team holds a current Health & Safety (H&S) certificate on every tour.
  • A fully stocked first aid kit is always available:
    • In our vehicles for transport and day trips
    • Carried in person by a team member on longer walks or outdoor activities

Risk Management

  • Prior to each tour or activity, a risk assessment is carried out to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Guests are provided with clear safety briefings and guidance before participating in activities.
  • Tours are designed with accessible, safe routes and appropriate rest stops to suit the group’s needs.

Emergency Preparedness

  • In the event of an incident, our team is trained in first aid response and emergency procedures.
  • Emergency contact information for each guest is collected before departure and carried securely by staff.
  • We maintain communication systems (e.g., mobile phones or radios) to ensure contact with support services where available.

Wellbeing of Guests

  • Dietary, mobility, and health needs disclosed prior to departure are considered when planning activities and meals.
  • We encourage guests to disclose any health or mobility issues so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
  • Staff remain vigilant throughout the tour, ready to provide assistance if a guest feels unwell or requires support.

Continuous Improvement

  • Feedback from guests and staff is reviewed after each tour to identify improvements to health & safety practices.
  • Staff regularly update their H&S and first aid training to ensure skills remain current.
  • All incidents, however minor, are documented and reviewed to strengthen future safety measures.
