TOUR START & FINISH

Our Adelaide Hills Christmas Markets & Festive Escape begins at 2:00 pm on Monday 7 December 2026 at Adelaide Airport. Please ensure your travel arrangements allow you to be at the designated meeting point at Adelaide Airport ready to meet your Travel With Lesley Whyte host and fellow travellers at this time.

The tour concludes at approximately 1:00 pm on Monday 14 December 2026 at Adelaide Airport. When arranging your onward flight, please allow sufficient time after our scheduled arrival at the airport for airline check-in and security.

TOUR STYLE

This is a women-only, small-group festive escape designed to be relaxed, social and fun. We’ve deliberately created an itinerary where fabulous experiences sit alongside shopping opportunities every single day. This isn’t a tour where shopping is squeezed into a spare hour, it’s an integral part of the experience.

Come on your own and enjoy your own room, or bring a friend and share twin. Either way, expect a week filled with fabulous food, South Australian wine, gin, bubbles, margaritas, art, gardens, beautiful produce, laughter, Christmas spirit and plenty of shopping bags.

YOUR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING KIT

We know this tour is going to result in some serious Christmas shopping, so we’ve thought about how you’re going to get some of those goodies home. Every guest will receive a cooler bag, perfect for bringing your South Australian cheese purchases home, along with a set of protective plastic bottle sleeves to help protect those special wine purchases in your luggage. You’ll also receive our very cute Christmas Dwarf Bottle Covers, perfect for turning a bottle of wine or gin into a fun Christmas present.

From Barossa and McLaren Vale wines, Adelaide Hills gin and artisan cheeses to chocolate, skincare, fashion, art, gourmet foods and Christmas market treasures, there really is something for everyone on your Christmas list. The hardest part might be deciding what actually makes it under the Christmas tree and what you decide to keep for yourself!

MEALS

Breakfast is included every morning throughout the tour, along with a fabulous selection of lunches, dinners and special food experiences. From our traditional German welcome feast and Devonshire tea with bubbles to Taco Tuesday with margaritas, d’Arenberg, Sidewood Estate pizza and our Maggie Beer experience, food and wine are very much part of this festive escape.

Where meals are not included, we’ve deliberately given you the freedom to choose what and where you’d like to eat, particularly on our Christmas market and shopping days. Alcohol is included only where specifically stated throughout the itinerary, including selected wine, bubbles, German beer, margaritas, wine tastings and cocktail experiences.

Group Size

This is a genuinely small-group Travel With Lesley Whyte experience, limited to just 8–10 travellers.

Keeping our group small allows us to travel comfortably, enjoy a more personal style of touring and experience Tasmania without the feel of a traditional large coach tour.

You’ll be fully escorted throughout by Lesley & Rob Whyte, complemented by experienced local Tasmanian guides along the way.

Flights & Travel Arrangements

Return economy Qantas airfares are included from Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch and Australian state capital cities as part of this tour package.

Our group is scheduled to arrive into Hobart at approximately 9.30pm on Thursday 16 September 2027, where a private group transfer will take us directly to our hotel.

A private group transfer from our Hobart hotel to Hobart Airport is also included on Monday 27 September 2027.

Your Qantas airfares will be purchased following your AUD $4,000 payment due in mid-January 2027. Once purchased, these airfares are non-refundable.

Final flight details, baggage allowances and meeting arrangements will be provided in your pre-departure information closer to departure.

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for everyone joining this tour. We recommend arranging your travel insurance as soon as your booking is confirmed.
