Chatham Islands Exploration – Wellington Departure

Rēkohu/Wharekauri — the Chatham Islands — are among the most captivating and mesmerising archipelagos in the South Pacific. Remote, wild, and deeply storied, the islands offer an experience unlike anywhere else in Aotearoa.

Explore sweeping coastlines, dramatic landscapes, and the vast Te Whanga Lagoon. Feel the island’s ever-changing weather, hear stories shaped by resilience, and immerse yourself in the rich cultural history that continues to define life on the Chathams today.

Known to the indigenous Moriori as ‘The Misty Sun’, the Chathams offer an intimate glimpse into a world rarely visited — a place filled with abundant birdlife, warm and character-filled locals, and profound historical significance.

During this 8-day small-group journey, you’ll uncover the island’s natural beauty, meet skilled local artisans and storytellers, understand Moriori and early settler history, visit extraordinary geological formations, and enjoy exclusive access to private lands and unique island experiences reserved only for our guests.
