Chatham Islands Adventure & Seafood Extravaganza

Fully Escorted | 20-27 September 2027

One Price. Your Own Room. No Solo Supplement.

Our Seafood Extravaganza departures are the signature tours of Travel With Lesley Whyte and have become renowned for combining exceptional seafood, authentic local experiences, spectacular scenery and the warm hospitality for which the Chatham Islands are famous.

Located over 800 kilometres east of mainland New Zealand, the Chatham Islands remain one of New Zealand’s most remote, intriguing and rewarding destinations. Untouched by mass tourism, the islands offer a unique opportunity to step away from the everyday and immerse yourself in a world shaped by the sea, rich history, fascinating cultures and a close-knit island community.

This is a place where rugged coastlines meet endless horizons, where stories of Māori, Moriori and European settlement are woven into the landscape, and where life moves at a pace dictated by nature rather than the clock.

At the heart of this journey is what has become a hallmark of our Chatham Islands tours — an extraordinary celebration of seafood.

The Chatham Islands are home to some of the finest seafood waters in the world, and throughout the week you’ll enjoy a remarkable variety of local delicacies including crayfish, blue cod, pāua, kina, hāpuku and other seasonal seafood specialities. Freshly harvested and expertly prepared, each meal showcases the incredible bounty of the surrounding ocean and provides a true ocean-to-plate experience.

Whether you are visiting the Chathams for the first time or returning to rediscover their magic, this fully escorted small-group adventure offers the perfect blend of exploration, culture, history, food and genuine island hospitality.

Weather conditions can occasionally impact flight schedules, resulting in delays to departures or returns from the Chatham Islands. While Air Chathams works hard to minimise disruption wherever possible, flight schedules remain subject to weather and operational conditions.

For this reason, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that provides cover for:
